APCAA Policies & Conduct Guidelines
These guidelines help maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive space across all APCAA social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. Our online community exists to support APCAA’s mission, promote our events, and foster meaningful connections.

General Conduct Guidelines for All APCAA Platforms
-
Respectful Communication
-
Be respectful in all interactions, maintaining a welcoming tone. Avoid language that could be offensive, inflammatory, or discriminatory.
-
-
Stay Relevant
-
Discussions should be relevant to APCAA’s mission, activities, and community topics. Off-topic discussions should be kept to a minimum to maintain the focus of each platform.
-
-
No Political or Controversial Discussions
-
To ensure inclusivity, avoid discussing political issues, religious debates, or any sensitive topics that could create division within the community.
-
-
Respect Privacy
-
Do not share private information or photos of other members without their consent. All posts should respect members’ privacy and comfort.
-
-
Personal Promotions and Advertising
-
Unsolicited promotions, business advertisements, or self-promotion are not allowed unless pre-approved by APCAA’s admin team. All content should align with APCAA’s values and support the community’s interests.
-
-
Issue Reporting
-
If you see inappropriate or inappropriate content with these policies, please report it to the admins(apcaa.info@gmail.com). We aim to keep this space safe and enjoyable for everyone.
-
-
Consequences for Violations
-
APCAA reserves the right to block or remove posts and restrict users who repeatedly violate these policies. To maintain a positive environment, repeated violations may result in restricted access to our platforms.
-

WhatsApp Group Policy
-
Purpose of Group
-
The "Annual Members" WhatsApp group is dedicated to sharing APCAA updates, event details, and community information. It is not a space for personal conversations or off-topic discussions.
-
YYC Adda is an open WhatsApp group created to foster networking, lighthearted conversation, and community support among participants in the Calgary area. This group includes both APCAA members and non-members ("outsiders"), so please follow these guidelines to ensure a positive and inclusive space for all.
-
-
No Debates or Arguments
-
Respect others’ opinions, and avoid engaging in arguments. Any disagreements should be resolved respectfully outside of the group.
-
-
Avoid Frequent Posts
-
To prevent clutter, limit posting to essential updates, event reminders, or community announcements. Memes, jokes, and non-relevant messages should be minimal.
-
-
Admin-Only Announcements
-
Important announcements, event details, or group-wide messages should ideally be shared by APCAA admins to ensure consistency.
-
